As the demand for rent-a-cops and armed guards rises, the armed personal security industry booms. Only 50 years ago, were gated communities in the United States (and most of them in Beverly Hills), but nowadays, they’re more prevalent than ever.

Some people with money demand security for their family 24/7. Rather than keeping a weapon in their home for armed personal security, which might end up being misused, they live in a gated community that provide armed personal security guards.

The Money

The armed personal security industry’s growth is the world’s top third fastest growing industry. Triggered by public outcry on violent crime, this sector is measured in the trillions.

The firepower used to strike workers at Carnegie’s Homestead steel plant in 1892 was provided by Pinkerton.
